My Early Flight
I’m sorry that you had to hear
In this letter that I write,
I had to go, I got a call
Had to take an early flight.
I know that we had always hoped
To go there hand in hand,
But now I’m going on ahead
Up to the promised land.
I want to thank you just real fast
Cause it’s almost time to go,
You taught me to be always ready
For when we’d leave, we just don’t know.
Jesus is here and holds my hand
So don’t worry, I’m not alone,
He tells me there’s no need to fear
For we’re just going home.
When God comes back for all of you
To bring you into glory,
I’ll be waiting here at Heavens gates
Where we’ll sing redemption’s story.
With Love,
Bethany
