Kanary Kids!!!

Praise the Lord Kanary Kid Parents!

Kanary Kids will resume as of February 13, 2008. I am very excited to continue with this class once again. Sis. Melisa and Sis. Sarah did a wonderful job and I know the kids will miss them while they are on maternity.

Here are a few details that are important to know…

-Kanary kids is for children age’s 3-5 who are socially and emotionally ready. What this means is your child wants to participate in crafts, stories, snacks, music and activities, with the other children. If your child needs encouragement in the beginning, that’s okay! We are there to love and support them, but we need to be able to give attention to all of the children and the plans for the evening. The nursery is available for children through the age of three who might not be ready, but still wish to play during service.

-We will meet every Wednesday night

-Kanary kids will begin after offering and is held in Sis. Amie’s classroom upstairs in the Sunday School Department.

-We will occasionally have sign up sheets where you can volunteer to bring in needed snack, craft, games, prizes and various other supplies that are needed. Your help in this is greatly appreciated.

-The Kanary Kids will be singing for special events such as mother’s day, father’s day, and upon request. We will learn and practice the songs during Kanary Kids, but if your child has not been able to attend class and they wish to join the other children on that special day, they are ALWAYS welcome! I encourage you to have your children, at any age, participate as much as possible with the Kanary AND King’s Choir. The more they are in front of the congregation the more comfortable they are. They love to worship the Lord at this age and this is a great way for them to “show off” their love for the Lord!

-The Kindergarten class has been working on the Books of the Bible and to encourage our learning I will be creating a curriculum that will teach them one verse from each of the Books of the Bible and the basic stories and principles from each book that are relevant and important to them at this age.

If you have any questions feel free to see me at church, call or email me. I look forward to working with you and your children!

Love,

Sis. Amie Kelp
