2008 GAC Planning Session – Do Good AND Communicate

January 22, 2008 Leave a comment Go to comments

Greetings! Saturday evening (1.19.08) was Grace’s 2008 Annual Planning Session. It was an overall Megaphonesuccess. 2008 is shaping up and promises to be the best year ever at GAC. We have many exciting events planned for the year at our local level as well as within the Michigan District.

At the planning session, we launched a new initiative and committed to using an online centralized calendar to notify you of upcoming events. If you’ve been a visitor of our website, you’ve more than likey already been to our calendar events page. Within that page is our Gracenewsinfo Online Calendar. Here, each department head committed to bringing you up-to-date event information sponsored by the various departments and ministries throughout GAC.

Do Good AND Communicate

While we will make ever effort to maintain this calendar, our other methods of communication will still be available as well i.e. weekly bulletins, announcements (when possible), multi-media screen in the main sanctuary during offering, emails, telephone calls, and of course good ol’ fashion word-of-mouth.  The scripture teaches us all to “do good and communicate.” So, while it is important that each department and ministry do the best they can keep their information up-to-date, we all have a duty to not only be doing good at GAC, but to help communicate. Good communication is EVERYONE’S job! So, let’s all do our part.

Scripture:

1 Timothy 6:18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

Hebrews 13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

We’re excited to have your involvement in 2008, and look forward to serving you and the great cause of the Cross. God bless you and yours in Jesus Name!
