Here is an inspirational story I heard last night as I was heading to southern Ohio. I thought I would share it with you. There was a Preacher who was traveling quite a bit, and he had a dilemma. He had an awesome family, a beautiful wife, and great children. One day as he was getting prepared to head to California for a revival meeting, his little girl came in the room and looked at him, knowing that her Daddy was about to leave again.
He described the look as disappointment and sadness. He then hugged her, said goodbye to his family, and headed to the airport. Needless to say he was feeling very heavy and angry inside. He told God, “I am not going on that flight,” and that he had enough of being away from his family. The Preacher figured he could just cancel the meeting and they could get someone else.
Right then, the PA announced the plane was boarding, and that he had to go. He said to himself again, “I am not going.” Of course the plane left, and he was feeling a sense relief. But then a lady recognized him from a previous service that he preached. She said he had encouraged her with a word of knowledge from the Lord. At that time he mentioned to the lady that her son was missing, and that he would be returning home soon. The lady then said to the Preacher / Prophet that her son came home, and is now serving the Lord.
Upon saying goodbye to the lady he realized the Lord sent her to remind him that he still needs to go to the revival in California. While he was there, he saw about 2000 people in the auditorium. He then noticed a man, way in the back of the building, who was hunched over. The Lord told him that he was the one to minister to. It turns out the man had AIDS, and had three months to live. The Lord had the Preacher / Prophet inform the man that the Lord wants to restore him, use him, and that he was going to minister to others with similar afflictions.
A few years passed, the Preacher / Prophet often wondered what happened to the young man. Six years after meeting the man who had only three months to live, the Preacher was again in a revival. Amazingly, this young man was at the same revival service, and was on the platform singing gloriously under the anointing of God. He was telling everyone at the service what the Lord did for him, and that the Lord can do the same for them. The young man then gave honor to the man that was used of the Lord to minister to him several years before. The Preacher / Prophet felt so good inside, and once again the determination and desire to reach out and pursue the hurting and the lost, burned within him.
I pray this has ministered to you. If you are discouraged I would like to remind you; many others in the Bible have been discouraged and even depressed. Ultimately, they turned to the Lord for strength and received a fresh touch.
God Bless - Bro Jeff

Touching story Bro. Jeff - thanks for sharing it. We all have pockets of discouragement. Stories like this remind us; when we’re in the will of God, and doing what we’re called to do, much like the ravens fed the prophet, God will sustain us in our hour of need. God bless the Brezas!
